St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center offers patients in Northeastern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula access to a comprehensive array of breast health services.
Introducing Breast Health Services
Breast Health Services run the full range of care—from education, prevention and early detection, through diagnosis and treatment, to a variety of support groups for patients and their loved ones.
- Quick, easy access by calling (920) 498-4634 to schedule an appointment
- Certified breast health educators
- Provide free clinical breast exams with training for self breast exams
- Facilitate the entire process for women, from diagnostic through treatment in a matter of days or hours, not weeks—women choose the pace of the process, taking the time (as quickly or slowly) they need to make their decisions at each step
- Set up surgical consults with the woman’s choice of surgeon
- Offer emotional and spiritual support
- State of the art technology
- The largest research/clinical trial program in northeastern Wisconsin through the National Cancer Institute’s Community Clinical Oncology Program
- Direct links to a large contingent of dedicated medical specialists—medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, multiple surgeons with additional, specialized training and experience in breast surgical procedures and certified breast health educators.
- Libraries/resource centers for people who want to learn more about breast health
- Use of Biolucent MammoPad to create a soft cushion between mammography machine and patient to provide softer, more comfortable mammogram experience.
St. Mary’s breast health educators are Sue Klein, Kathy Jarek, and Mary Simmons. They can be reached by calling (920) 498-3539.
