Want another reason to stay active? You may reduce your risk of fracturing a hip, according to a study of more than 60,000 postmenopausal women. How active do you have to be? Just walk at least four hours a week at a moderate pace. Women who followed this routine cut their risk for hip fracture nearly in half compared to women who walked less than one hour a week. Those who walked longer reduced their risk even more, as did those who walked at a brisk pace.
