The Cancer Research Institute at St. Vincent Hospital is offering a free seminar Thursday, March 11, 6 p.m. at the St. Vincent Heritage Rooms.
Thomas Saphner, MD, oncologist with Green Bay Oncology, Ltd. and Jolene Cheslock, Director. Cancer Research Institute, will explain clinical trials and the research institute. They will also provide information on how clinical trials are developed and if they are right for you. There will be an opportunity to get your questions answered as well. There are 125 to 130 active studies taking place at any given time, which gives patients 125+ reasons for hope.
In addition, Sidney Bremer, a member of the Institutional Review Board will discuss her experiences as a participant in a clinical trial.
