St. Mary’s Hospital has made a commitment to be recognized within our community as a hospital that provides exceptional customer service. Our customer service tagline of Healing with Feeling leads us into our Customer Service Initiative and encompasses our five service behavior standards that we expect all individuals who represent St. Mary’s Hospital to exhibit.

Requirements:

  • Be of good character and willing to serve.
  • Complete an application and medical history.
  • Must have a TB test and a Rubella Titer on acceptance of position – courtesy of St. Mary’s Hospital.
  • Must attend a required in-service training once a year.
  • Complete an Education Packet.
  • Complete a Background Information Disclosure form.
  • Abide by the rules and regulations of the hospital.
  • Sharing your time, helping others

There are many opportunities for our volunteers, a few are listed below. We will do our best to give you a volunteer assignment that fits your special interests, skills and schedule.

  • NEW opportunity: Greeters/transporters for St. Mary’s Hospital. Greet and escort patients/visitors to appropriate areas within hospital and Green Bay Oncology. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-noon and noon-4 p.m
  • Patient Escort Service – Escort patients and visitors in admitting, discharge and inter-department transport.
  • Clerical/Data Entry – Typing, filing, and copying. Answering phones, assisting with bulk mailings and special projects as needed.
  • Emergency Department/Greeter – Assist with receptionist/clerical duties, liaison between patients, families and staff. Direct and escort patients and families to ancillary departments within hospital.
  • Pastoral Care – Parish Callers to notify area churches of their members who have been admitted. Surgical Waiting Room to provide hospitality for family members while their relative is in surgery. Eucharistic Minister to provide the sick with the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist.
