Carrots May Keep Your Lungs Healthy

Until now, there hasn’t been very much evidence that what you eat might raise or lower your risk for asthma. But a recent study of more than 68,000 French women suggests that a tossed salad might offer women potent protection against asthma. These grocery staples contain plant-based chemicals called carotenoids that may keep the body’s immune system working properly.
