Look Good . . . Feel Better

Mondays, June 4, July 2, and August 6, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
As a national American Cancer Society (ACS) public service program, Look Good . . . Feel Better helps women receiving cancer treatments learn how to manage the appearancerelated side effects of those treatments. Free.

Cardiovascular Assessment

Thursdays, by appointment
This assessment will measure your blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol levels, fasting blood sugar, C-reactive protein, body mass index, EKG, and other factors to determine your 10- year risk of developing heart disease. A cardiac registered nurse will review the results with you. A 12-hour fast is required.
Fee: $40. Scholarships are available.

Bone Density Screening

Thursday, June 21, 9 a.m. to noon, by appointment
A simple test that uses ultrasound to measure the bone density of your heel can help you learn whether you may be at risk of developing osteoporosis. While this is not a diagnostic exam, a health care professional will discuss the results and answer your questions. Recommended for women age 40 and older.
Fee: $15 per person.

Meditation for Busy People

Thursday, June 21, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Have you always wanted to try meditation but never thought you could do it? Meditation is easier than you may think. It can be a valuable tool for spiritual growth, relieving stress, healing, and more.
Presenter: Bonnie Groessl, RN, MS, APNP, The Bridge to Health
Fee: $10.

Wednesday, June 27, 1 to 3:30 p.m. or 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Keeping a journal helps us learn how our mental and physical health is affected by our bodies’ responses to all kinds of life experiences. Receive a free journal, pen, and guidebook on how to journal proactively. A program of the Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation (WWHF) Rural Women’s Health Network. Space is limited. Free.
